NIST SAP2000 Models

NIST developed SAP2000 models of WTC towers 1 and 2. The models were obtained by an FOIA request. The data files are available at razor.occams.info/nist-wtc/.

Much of the data contained in the SAP2000 database has been extracted and can be found in the following set of spreadsheets:

• plate shapes
• frame section properties
• I wide flange shapes
• joint coordinates
• frame connectivity
• area connectivity

The data of principal interest is contained in the shape and section property spreadsheets. From this data a schedule of the core and perimeter columns can be constructed. A set of images produced from the NIST core column data is available here.
