Corrected perimeter column data info given on the page Structural Data for WTC 1, 2. On that page it was stated that the NIST documents state:

Fourteen grades of steel were used in the construction of the perimeter columns with minimum yield strengths of 36, 42, 45, 46, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, and 100 ksi.

However, as the page now indicates, NIST NCSTAR 1-3 actually says:

PC&F of Seattle, Washington, fabricated the perimeter wall panels. The perimeter panels were comprised of three important subassemblies: the columns, the spandrels,
and the truss seats. The structural plans called for the columns to be fabricated from 14 grades of steel with Fy = 36, 42, 45, 46, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90,
and 100 ksi, although PC&F received approval to upgrade all 85 and 90 ksi steels to 100 ksi. Above the 75th floor, more than half of the columns had yield strengths
between 55 ksi and 70 ksi, inclusive. The spandrels were fabricated from twelve grades of steel with Fy = 36, 42, 45, 46, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, and 100 ksi (again
with all 85 ksi steel upgraded to 100 ksi). The truss seats were specified to be fabricated from steel with Fy = 36 ksi minimum.

The static images for CC1003 were mistakenly used for the CC1002 images on the NIST core column data page. This problem has been fixed.

The page CC1002 was mistakenly showing the static images of CC1003. The CC1003 images have been replaced by the correct CC1002 images.

This is a repeat of a post I made on other forums. When I have completed the work of extracting the column data and producing images it will be incorporated into site content.

Below is an animated gif I put together that sequences through the entire set of CC501 images I created from the NIST "plate shape" data file. Note that the orientation of the column data changed suddenly after the first few. For this animation I compensated by rotating those first few by 90 degrees which will show up in the animation by the sudden shift in the image. Also, there are several columns which seem to have only two plates specified in the data file. You'll see that for the last couple of images in the sequence before it cycles back to the beginning. Not sure what to make of that yet. Note that the last few digits in the naming scheme for the column sections signifies the floor at which the column section type ends. In other words CC501A1 ends at floor 1 (bottom of story 1), CC501A3 starts on floor 3, and so on.

Here is the animation:
